ReplyDeleteInteresting. It's very different from the calls to prayer from the mosques in Indonesia where I grew up, where the words were quite distinct. I can still hear it sometimes in my sleep. There was a news story about a community in Michigan that was all bent out of shape because people didn't like hearing the call to prayer. Good "Christian" people--now why on earth would they have objected to the reminder to pray????? I wish we could hear it here.
